PARKS, MARITIME TRAILS AND USEFUL INFORMATION
Washington State has many marine parks, some accessible only by water.  They are part of the Cascadia Trail, a  string of 50 parks stretching from the southern part of Puget Sound and up through the waters of British Columbia.  See Washington's parks at www.parks.wa.gov    Click on their boating program for more information or go to the Washington Water Trails site at www.wwta.org/trails for trails information. Check out the Links page on the Park's site as it directs you to many sites useful for trip planning.

Cruising in Puget Sound requires a knowledge of tides.  A quick place to check for tides anywhere in Washington is www.saltwatertides.com
